HÜRSAN A.Ş. was founded in 1975 by mechanical engineer ALI ARAPTARLI.

Driven by fuel shortages in the 1970s, Hürsan set out to produce an alternative and aesthetically pleasing solid fuel-powered heating device. It was the first company in Turkey to manufacture industrial fireplaces.

The idea that a fireplace is primarily a heating device began to spread in Turkey with the industrial fireplace inserts produced by Hürsan Fireplace. Older, bricklayer-built fireplaces—mostly inoperable, smoking, lacking heat, and lacking any safety features—were gradually replaced by Hürsan Fireplace inserts, engineered for efficiency and safety.

The Hürsan Fireplace factory is an integrated facility consisting of a foundry, forge, marble mill, carpentry, and paint shop. Every stage of production is carried out by expert and experienced staff using a comprehensive and technologically advanced machinery.

In addition to its own products, Hürsan Şömine is the Turkish General Distributor for 12 major global brands. Hürsan Şömine represents and sells a full range of fire-related products from these brands, including wood-burning, natural gas, electric, and ethanol fireplaces, stoves, ranges, fire pits, outdoor heaters, and fireplaces.

In addition to Hürsan Fireplace Center – Istanbul, one of the largest fireplace centers in Europe, the brand has stores in 15 cities across Türkiye.

The Hürsan Şömine brand, which has experienced rapid export growth in recent years, is represented and sold in France, Russia, Portugal, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, Moldova, Lithuania, Georgia, Macedonia, Albania, Mongolia, Iraq, and Northern Cyprus.
